Would the time limits on the respective forms make a difference here? VG Super (and Hyper) Sonic don't canonically have a time limit, while Ultra Sonic canonically has a very short time limit that leaves Sonic weaked and fatigued. Leaning towards Hyper since he should be able to hold his own against Ultra long enough for him to burn through his transformation.

As far as I remember, Ultra Sonic works on just one super emerald, while Hyper uses all seven, so in terms of power it MAYBE be more inclined towards Hyper (Lol now that I noticed you haven't responded to this thread for 11 days)
