How would mind control that affects a lot of people with range be treated?

Hello. I know we had a crt a few years back where the number of people you mind hax wouldn't matter against someone with mind hax resistance.

However, what if the series shows that by reducing the range of the hax and the people affected, the strength of the hax increases? I assume it would still not work against mind resistance.

Ps. I also assume this applies to other kind of mind haxes like fear, empathic manip, etc...?

Well the mind hax would gain new layers while the range is reduced, so ye it can work, unless the opponent has layered resistance
