How to count pixels

So I have seen a few blogs using pixels as a unit to measure stuff but I don’t know what app can count pixels of objects in images.

i dont know for desktop, but im usually do calcs on mobile and i use IbisPaint X

For pixelated sprites, I recommend manually counting the pixels of the raw sprite. Otherwise, generally you would need either the Measure Tool or the Rectangular Select Tool in GIMP (or equivalents in other programs).

How do I count it I try but many pixels are of the same colour and form a line so I do t know how many pixels are there
