So a character hits the ground with a sword, and it splits it outwards for 333 meters, with a width of 2 meters.

MPa x Area x Blade's edge thickness is the usual formula for cutting feats

MPa: We use violent fragmentation for rough cuts with fragments, and pulverisation for clean cuts with no fragments. Since this is the ground we'll use rock (general)
  • Rough cuts: v frag of rock/69 J/cc
  • Clean cuts: pulv of rock/214 J/cc
Area: 333 meters x 2 meters = 666 meters, or 66600 cm

Blade's edge thickness: Varies, but average regular swords vary from 5 to 8 mm, lets use 5 mm to lowball, or 0.5 cm.

Result
If it's a rough cut: 69 * 66600 * 0.5 = 2297.7 kilojoules (Wall level)
If it's a clean cut: 214 * 66600 * 0.5 = 7126.2 kilojoules(Wall level)

The numbers account for area, but what about volume, the depth into the ground?

Volume would be the area multiplied by that depth. If it was 90 cm, a pretty standard approximate sword length, we'd be multiplying that 66600 by 90. We could also be more conservative with it and use a low end like 60 cm (2 feet).

I was assuming the 2 meter length was the depth in this case since only the 333 meter part was. The blade's edge thickness is what's used as the other dimension

The area of destruction should look like this (not for complete scale)

Though looking back OP did mention that 2cm was width (which can mistakenly refer to depth sometimes or being as broad as length but I digress) so maybe it's better to just ask for the feat in question
Can you please provide the feat this is referring to?

I meant the width of the damage done.

The scarlet fierce teeth flying sword was wrapped in fiery light. It immediately hacked down, and the great earth cracked open with a honglong sound. The small ***** it made was astonishing, directly splitting apart over a hundred zhang outwards. Even the little guy was startled. He quickly evaded to the side, narrowly avoided being pierced. Moreover, he almost fell into that several meter wide crevice. He began to treat these two enemies in this battle seriously.

Damn nevermind then, do we get any idea about the depth of the hole?
