As the question implies, how much strength (or speed, etc.) difference would be enough to outright suppress others in that regard? And how much difference would be enough to be unbridgeable by the opponent (maybe verse-specific extreme skill utilization that leverages force or whatever put aside ... but even those usually have clear and obvious upper limits), as in, for example, unable to even hurt with a focused attack (the basic example would be a stabbing attack with spear/knife/etc.)?
This is especially unclear to me since it seems like fiction often treats even differences through somewhat more minor stat boosts (like 2-3x their typical strength in typical Xianxia/Martial Arts novel with some self-destructive berserk pill or whatever ... or even just some 30% boost in some gamish- isekai manga or various post-apocalyptic manhwa, manhua, etc.) as the best thing since sliced bread that immediately turns the confrontation utterly upside down. When skill and whatever is mostly equal, singular mistakes might make the difference, but how big would such boosts really need to be in such a situation to not only give the edge but to completely suppress the opponents (or eve groups of opponents)?
Can someone clear this up for me? Thanks in advance.
