How many unofficial crossovers is needed to delete verse?

Since it to Animator vs Animation for too many unofficial crossovers verses.

There's no steady rule regarding what is and isn't allowed in terms of crossovers.

As a general rule I guess, it goes "How important are those other franchises to the work itself?".

If the work has a one note reference it probably doesn't mean anything (see any video game easter egg). If the work includes fundamental elements of another universe and relies on those elements for plot items then it'll break the rules. Which is seemingly why AvA was removed, because it relied on other IPs for the story.

If you don't own the IP but said IP is critical for the lore of that work, then it breaks our crossover rules.

If you own both works then it would be alright (this would also apply to an official crossover like Freddy vs Jason).

If its lore does not clash with the main lore cluster but still uses IP that it doesn't own?

Does the author own the work legally
  • Yes: It's fine
  • No: It has a problem since that's either fanfiction or copyright infringement
Is the work being referenced used with either expressed permission or through a legal crossover
  • Yes: Can potentially be used but would need to be looked at
  • No: It has a problem since that's either fanfiction or copyright infringement
It doesn't matter if the lore matches. It's about legal usage of the work and if it counts as fanfiction or not.

The verse used Garfield, Kirby, king dedede and Minecraft as a part of its work but said work does not influence the entire setting in the slightest.

It used enough of it that the mods who knew of the series agreed it wasn't suitable for VSBW.

Is it SCP? SCP contains Sonic.EXE/Herobrine-esque characters from Sonic, Kirby, Garfield, Among Us, Pokémon, Touhou, and probably a lot more

Under normal circumstances, I would want to say that this isn't allowed on the wiki, but SCP is the exception to a few other site rules, so idk

The fancharacters do exist in the SCP universe, but they're really only important to their own articles

Honestly given how lose the verse’s canon is your more likely to just delete the profiles with copy right stuff
