I’ve used a Type 3 CM a couple of times and it’s better than I expected, though it’s not something I’d rely on all the time. The damage output is decent, but you really have to adjust your setup to make it work since it doesn’t have the same flexibility as other options. For me it worked fine in a more defensive build where I could take my time, but I wouldn’t call it amazing across the board, it’s more of a situational pick than a go-to choice.

Because it doesn't qualify for type 1 or type 2. "True names" are a very specific in-verse concept.

Manipulate name is CM, pretty common thing, since "name" is a very abstract thing, and from the scan it seem to shape and define the person themselves, their life, that pretty much CM3, we have multiple verses with CM via manipulating name

the only helpful evidence i can see is true names shaping your very being which doesn't really say much

True names are formulas that consist of a vampire's being, identity, and fate. It's essentially a vampire's whole essence, since without a true name, they get corrupted and turn into malnomen or curse-bearers, basically monsters. The profile should elaborate more on it.
