To be honest, God in the series should be at least as great as, if not greater, than Chronos, who transcends the past, present, and future of an infinite amount of timelines and alternate dimensions. Since, you know, God contends for the "greatest" title in the series.

There is absolutely no evidence that God is stronger than or even anywhere near as great as Chronos. Each different religion in Saint Seiya has their own being whom they describe as the supreme being, but either way, the Primordial Gods are above all of their supreme beings. God could very well be just an equivalent to Zeus.
