How does this wiki treat feats that involve throwing stuff?

how do people on this wiki treat feats that involve throwing stuff in general? do these feats count as striking strength feats?

Lifting something to throw it is used under Lifting Strength. However, Kinetic Energy can be used to derive Attack Potency of a throw object, since Speed is half of the needed variables for the KE Formula, KE = 0.5*M*V^2, where KE is Kinetic Energy in joules, M is mass in kilograms, and V is speed in meters per second.

If you want to find the lifting strength for a throwing feat, I suggest you use the following formula:

  • A = V^2/2*D
Where:

  • A = The acceleration of whatever was thrown.
  • V = The speed said thing was traveling at initially. For example, if a ball takes 10 seconds to travel 2 kilometers, you input this in as 200m/s.
  • D = The distance the thing that was thrown traveled. For example, if the ball travels 2 kilometers and stops after that, you input this in as 2000 meters.
After that, you'll get a result in m/s^2. This result can be multiplied by the mass of whatever was thrown (if you find it, of course) to get a result in newtons. Said result can be converted straight to tons of force (metric, normally) to get Lifting Strength.

However, if you want to find AP, you need to use Kinetic Energy, yeah.

I think that we have generally treated it as comparable, but in real world terms, you can obviously throw a small light object, such as a baseball, at higher speeds than the greater mass of your whole body is able to move. FTL movement speed does not follow the laws of physics, and cannot be calculated in terms of energy transfer though.
