Honkai: Star Rail Discussion Thread

Yeah. Another example is Irontomb destroying the universe, stated and shown, yet it's less of a AP feat and more of a CM2 feat. His whole arc surrounds specifically targeting the erudition for his destruction, and the removal of this absolute screws over the universe itself, unwinding its logic into chaos like Zandar states.
Plunging we went over this already

It's both. CMs are also a bunch of bullshit at this point but oh well
While I'm not against it being both, its more like light (representing civilisation in the universe) going dark rather than things being destroyed. Meanwhile destroying Erudition fulfills the destroying the universe statements made.

I do genuinely believe arguing for CM is possible at this point due to Aha stealing the Voracity's tastebuds and the effect that had upon their pathstriders, along with the Irontomb stuff. It's just finicky and not fully in-line with standards, though has the same spirit as something like CM1 or 2.

This isn't argued because on VSBW because of the whole CM energy conversation, and the fact that mfs want 2-A + Inf atk speed, but I wholeheartedly believe that's what Hoyo was trying to portray.
Now that is a good example

Because the Irontomb feat can be seen differently depending on what material you are reading. Of course, if it was 100% consistent, it wouldn't be a problem, and we could have the statements of it being an actual destruction or more like environmental damage as either complementary events, different perspectives of the same thing, etc.

But HSR isn't really 100% consistent with every plot point being made with the same idea and carried to the end (Otherwise we wouldn't have, especially in Amphoreus, a lot of concepts that go nowhere, that feel contradictory, etc)

So, what is the right way of interpreting the events? That is the question. I need to say, there are some franchises were ignoring what is directly shown on screen and favoring some random line of dialogue from an optional event is the "right" choice.

It was both as I explained in the HGR thread. Irontomb's blast was both used to "mark" the data and then turn it into destruction. Which counts as both CM and AP bc they were disintergrated as well as it fundamentally changing bc its logic was overwritten for destruction.

Exactly, I do believe what we have right now is the 'right' option as it more closely fits with VSBW standards while also giving high tier Destruction Emanators scaling they've been hinted at having for a while through targeting their various paths. CM would certainly be very contentious with only 2 examples. If HSR continues representing path destruction / alteration this way then there's a conversation to be had.

Eh I don't agree here. I think there's plenty of evidence for higher CM atp..

wdym?

i was in the middle of writing a lotm response and got an adhd moment hold on
Youd have to ask nova

At least from my idea is that energy is a particular of the concept and not the concept itself so it cant really be cm1 or cm at all the only part that really saves cm is that aeons and paths are philisophical concepts but thats abt it

I could be very wrong but ask nova for more specifics

thats fine but you cant be agreeing with his random theories that he keeps trying to enforce on the verse and on people without understanding it in first place. that's ridiculous.

i mean do as you please but have your own opinion and don't blindly adhere to what he or anyone is saying bc they seem trustworthy/smart/eloquent or whatever.

If this is an attempt to slander me, it was @PedjaTarzan who proposed and did it lmao

You gotta come up with a better one bro
As far as i can remember i literally asked “who applied aeons scaling to img singularity” before i even proposed the supposed chainscaling since we had CoF and Aeons as same tiering so i just went with it, tho if u have editing history of me specifically writing and putting that scaling sure post it whatever
