They will just downscale from the 1/14 assumption whilst Alastor and other stronger characters will upscale. I think that makes sense, no?

I don't know, or care about, the exact list of overlords that are somewhat above others.

We know that weakened alastor was going to give a fairly large contribution since rosie literally was backed into making a deal with alastor because of this, could downscale from this ig?

As I said I don't really like downscaling for extremely vague things like that.

I believe that the practical reality would be that people treat them as 1/15th. When really, for most of them I think they're probably more like 1/1000th. Alastor and Rosie joining in completely changed the field around it (and as you say, Rosie was asking for this even from him with a broken staff, while he seems to have had it repaired by the time he actually approached it).

If that 1/14th puts them at, say, "at most High 7-A", then people would probably say they one-shot 7-B characters.

They can still fight and somewhat overpower weakened Alastor

After walking away I realised I should've just said some of 'em, it may not actually end up being >50%.

But also, the Vees can't actually. Weakened Alastor merely pretended to be defeated as part of his plan, not just implied by the show itself imo, but as said in the description for the Don't You Forget Reprise:
After Alastor (Amir Talai) willingly allows himself to be captured, Vox (Christian Borle) takes a moment to savour his 'victory' over his arch nemesis.

Me too tbh. And tbf most of my profile-making experience is from a time where we didn't even have "at most", so I could just be biased against it.

While Alastor did lose to the Vees on purpose, it doesnt change the fact they were able to actually harm him with their attacks like Vox causing Alastor to bleed when he grappled him out of shadow form or Velvette being able to harm Al with her attacks

As said, I haven't thought through the whole scaling chain and all its implications; I just want people to think about that and not slap "at most 1/14th" on everyone uncritically. Like, Carmilla and Nifty have profiles, so we have to figure out where they are in relation to all that.

Despite him not having that ability in his P&A. He only has immortality negation. Someone should fix that some time.

Dammit Agnaa are you trying to destroy my eyes, I am already almost blind 😭 😭 But yeah, I also wanna ask whats your opinion on scaling the mid high tiers to 6-C from the Overload and the God tiers to High 6-A from Lucifer?

Yeah most of the conversations on these have been in DMs since I've been making all the Vees profiles while others revise some other characters. Basically all the Overlords have some form of scaling to another Overlord and just having magic is considered being built different in the verse in a power sense. So they effectively would all get a similar rating since it just ends with 'Was able to harm X and contributed to the same massive feat' like Niffty being able to fight decently against Velvette and harm her.

Haven't thought about it enough to have a view, and this isn't a series I particularly wanna battleboard.

It's just one of those pieces of media where I notice a wankable-but-flawed interpretation, and feel obligated to make sure the supporters consider the counterarguments.

Sorry but that "argument" of yours is dumb as hell, the only moment he wasn't holding back was against Lucifer, who he wanted to kill because of their history.
So sorry to break it to you Alastor's glazer, but Adam was definitely holding back against him.

What's with people assuming I glaze HH characters, the only character I genuinely liked was Pilot era Alastor, and I don't even like show Alasto enough to "glaze" him.

"You guys"? Eithe way, why would he need to make himself hundred of times weaker for this logic to work? He wasn't trying against Alastor before he broke the staff and one-shot him. That's the only time Adam makes contact with Alastor. How much he was holding his strength back is irrelevant when the real focus is the fact he wasn't taking the fight seriously enough for Alastor actually seem semi-competent against him in that moment.

My view is that Adam was holding back until the last hit (holding back his stat) but he was also not using his Holy Light the entire fight (holding back his kit)

Edit: For all we know he could have been holding back during the hit too he is just out of Al’s league

I mean, he could've been I suppose. It's not like Adam can make himself 100x weaker so even if he is he'd still one shot like he did. I don't think the semantics of when Adam was and wasn't holding back matter much for Alastor's nor Adam's scaling though. At the end of the day they're already tiers apart from each other.
 
Someone went out their way to count it.

Vox touches or rests his hands on someone shoulder 19 times in Season 2.

Alastor was holding back too because he thought he can beat him.

Look at how he uses his abilities against 100% Vox vs. in that fight. If you wanna have your cake, then eat it too.
