Feels like a lot of plot points which had been slowly cooking just suddenly boiled over without much payoff.

There shouldn't be much of a problem with that though, it would only really scale to Lucifer, and considering that he's literally the god tier of the verse right now, it's not like that couldn't make sense

Emily did reach Alastor before the beam (She was closer but still) and could even turn and look at the beam when it was a few meters away from her.
(I know basically the same thing was put as perception speeds for Pochita)

Okay, my overrall opinion about this season is basically the same as the previous one. Sure, this one was miles better but still, tons of things felt underveloped and rushed, which is hard to blame since the cap of episode is only 8. The idea of many overlords fearing Alastor is cool and all but it would have been way better with some "filler" episodes (or even just one) talking about it

Lute doing NOTHING the whole season was quite disappointing, but I bet that next season there will be something. Just weird how they decided to use the music Gravity without any pay off

Vox was also a waaaay better villain than Adam, but it's not as if the bar was high anyway

With that said, very good hype moments and aura

Next season I hope we get something from Zestial

Also, do we know if Viv ever tried to put Hazbin on Adult Swim? They give way more freedom there

I really think the series would work with longer episodes (Invincible has 40 minutes per episode) or just more episodes in general. They have a very short time to make everything, which makes them need to cut tons of things and rush the pacing. I have seen on twitter some removed animated scenes between Vees and Alastor, for example

Yes, it seems to be a consensus here, and even if you are right then this attack is MFTL+ and thus is an outlier without any question and you can forget about it.
