Haru Glory vs. Trigger Happy (What Could Have Been...) (Voting Completed)

The 7-B Brackets sure were eventful, weren't they? They managed to highlight some rather interesting verses, a lot of different matches that may not have been created otherwise were brought to the table, and some characters which were not that well known made it extremely far, with one such character taking the eventual victory over the entire 32 character roster, coming from a series that almost no one had heard of before.

However, one of the most interesting stories to come from the brackets, and the one that I had a personal investment in, was the rise of a random low hax character named Trigger Happy through the ranks, beating several characters and having several close shaves, eventually finding his way into the semi-finals. And while he was crushed in his last two matches, first against the eventual winner, and then against the one who lost to the runner-up of the brackets, I continue to wonder: What if Magilou didn't have such a bad matchup for her first semi-final match? What if Trigger Happy had actually faced off against Haru Glory in the loser brackets? Could he actually have managed a win? (For third place, anyway.) Today, we find out!

In the blue corner, we have Haru Glory from RAVE, and in the red corner, we have Trigger Happy from Skylanders.



-This is a battle to the death or incapacitation. No holds barred.
-Neither character are aware of each other beforehand, and there is no prep time.

-Neither character are allowed any outside help.

-This battle takes place at the top of Temporal Tower with the combatants being 50 meters apart, giving neither character the home-court advantage.

-This is a fight between Oracion Seis/Symphonia/Stellar Memories arc Haru and Legendary Trigger Happy.

-Speed is equalized.

So...Trigger Happy is inherintly stronger due to being over baseline, which Haru is baseline.

Though Haru is also much better at ranged attacks. Hmm...

Does Haru have a good answer to Danmaku? A wind blast could technically paralyze Trigger Happy though I don't know how likely he is to do that. The light speed could also blind Trigger but...I mean he could still shoot his guns so maybe that doesn't help

How much stronger is Trigger Happy in this form compared to his base? Like six times stronger or...?

In his Elite form, he's 3x stronger than Base, which is assumed to be somewhere around 15 Megatons, and Legendary is supposed to be stronger than that.

So, Haru has, at least, a 2x advantage over Trigger Happy in terms of AP.

Can Haru just use a wind blast to knock all the Danmaku bull crap back at Trigger?

Why, yes, it can. And considering the Rave of Knowledge would likely allow him to realize this could be a thing, he'd be able to pull it off without a second thought.

However, Trigger Happy is able to react to Danmaku fairly well, too. Though, I could swear that the top of Temporal Tower is less than several hundred meters wide. I'll change it to 50 meters apart, just to be safe, then.

That's likely here. So does that knowledge thing give Haru knowledge about his enemy or just the attacks coming his way? If so he'd know not to get up close and what to dodge. Danmaku would likely be difficult though, he'd be playing defensively the whole time if he doesn't wanna get absolutely wrecked.

No. According to Haru's profile, it only gives him knowledge on his own abilities and how to properly utilize them in combat, even with no training whatsoever.

Though, I do agree that once the bullets start flying, he will start to become defensive.

If he goes on the defensive right away he's gonna be in a world of trouble with how much Trigger can throw at him. He can only deflect so many bullets. And Trigger's just gonna shoot more bullets to block those bullets because I'm sure he can do that, which is hilarious.

But he's also got the Pot o' Gold which is really gonna screw Haru up as it comes at a higher angle than the bullets. I think his best bet would be to paralyze Trigger and go in for the kill, but even then Trigger may snap out of it and keep going and shooting.

Honestly leaning towards Trigger right now as I think Haru only has so many win conditions here while Trigger could easily overwhelm

What speed amps?

The closed area means that even if he's blinded, the bullets will keep bouncing around and possibly hit Haru.

The paralysis comes from an ability that appears as if Trigger Happy can dodge.

AP doesn't do a lot of good if he can't get near him or hit him.

Voting Haru

Haru not only has shields that he could use to counter the Danmaku but could use Melforce to just reflect them back at Trigger.

Not only this, but speed amps, higher AP, better agility, blinding, paralysis, sheer versatility, and could just freeze him.

Haru has really good stamina as he took all the pain he has ever felt during his entire lifetime in a single blow and merely walked it off.

Haru wins low or mid-diff.

I'm not saying your reasoning is defective. I'm just asking.

Also, taking all of the pain he ever felt in his entire life, and walking it off? Does that make him better than Roronoa Zoro at the tail end of the Thriller Bark arc? Just wondering.

His shields can tank 7-A attacks and melforce can repel things with wind.

As for the Zoro comparison, it's superior to the pain that he felt. Zoro just take all of luffy's pain from that arc.

To be fair, the attack that was supposed to make him feel all the pain he's had since birth was weakened, apparently. But he still took the brunt of it.

That said, I'll also side with Haru here. His AP advantage helps. But mostly, Melforce single handedly screws Trigger over. Reflecting his bullets plus numbing him to the point of paralysis, allowing him to get in a few swift hits with Silfarion or a deadly one with a point blank explosion. Rinse, wash and repeat.
