So, um... How does Guts deal with CD's immortality? Am not knowledgable of either of them, but it seems to me that Guts can't put CD down.

Yeah, with Dragon Slayer, but only in his 8-A keys. It's an ability it developed overtime as it gradually got soaked in the blood and viscera of beings from the Interstice, allowing it to harm opponents on the astral (soul) level, which means wounds won't heal unless healed on the metaphysical level as well.
But in short, Guts doesn't have it in this key
