Teen Goten and Trunks DBS Manga replacement for Anime Scaling
Since the DBS anime now follows DBZ Kai, and the DBS manga follows the original manga, I think it's appropriate to overhaul their pages.
I'll be listing all of their feats that prove they scale to 2-C in the manga, where they have substantially better scaling and feats compared to the anime.
Base Form:
Movie Events
- After Goten and Trunks unfused, Base Goten and Trunks were strong enough to knock Cell Max's arm out of the way, allowing Beast Gohan to fire his Special Beam Cannon at Cell Max and assist Orange Piccolo in obstructing him. This was also crucial for Beast Gohan's victory.
Post Movie Events
- In base form, Goten and Trunks were able to spar hand-to-hand against Super Saiyan Broly, who had just fought Beast Gohan.
- Base Goten and Trunks participated in the Saiyan Brawl against Beast Gohan, Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta, Super Saiyan Broly, and Base Goku. The battle concluded with everyone, including them, sustaining heavy battle damage.
Super Saiyan:
Pre Movie Events
- Dr. Hedo clarifies that Dinodroid 1 is the strongest android ever created, and he was aware of Dr. Gero's work, including Cell. This implies that Dinodroid 1 is massively stronger than Cell. Meanwhile, Super Saiyan Goten and Trunks immediately went Super Saiyan and sent the android flying straight out the window, where it was immobilized and unable to fight back.
- Super Saiyan Goten and Trunks charged up and launched a Double Hurricane Cyclone Style Tornado at Dinodroid 1, instantly destroying it entirely.
Movie Events
- Super Saiyan Trunks easily maneuvered past a semi-awakened Cell Max's initial movements, landing a punch to his face that made him flinch in pain. He then followed up with a kick to the head, forcing Cell Max’s head downward in reaction. Meanwhile, Gamma 1 and Gamma 2—whom Piccolo compared to Goku and Vegeta—were unable to achieve this feat, as their direct attacks to Cell Max’s face failed to make him flinch or react before they were immediately swatted away.
- Super Saiyan Goten charged up and fired an energy ball at Cell Max, causing him to react in pain and drop to his knees.
- Goten and Trunks fired a combined energy wave that sent Cell Max skyrocketing, before collapsing the bio-android into the ground.
- The Gammas praise Super Saiyan Goten and Trunks' power, while Base Piccolo couldn't even impress a suppressed Gamma 2 when they initially fought.
- Super Saiyan Goten and Trunks were fast enough to keep up with Gamma 1 and 2 as they all charged at Cell Max, preparing a Cycle Style! Tornado Super Hurricane. The attack immediately launched him far back, flipping him over buildings and into the ground until he crashed into a hill.
Post Movie Events
- Super Saiyan Goten and Trunks were capable of fighting on par with Super Saiyan Gohan, who trained with Piccolo after the movie events, showing that they were all relative in strength to each other.
- They were fast enough to surprise Super Saiyan Gohan with an afterimage after he attempted to fire energy waves at the boys.
- Super Saiyan Gohan praises SSJ Goten and Trunks for their strength and skill, acknowledging that they've trained after the events of Cell Max.
- Super Saiyan Trunks was able to catch and block Gohan's fists as they came toward him.
- Super Saiyan Goten and Trunks were able to easily recover after being tossed by Super Saiyan Gohan.

- SSJ Goten and Trunks fought together against Super Saiyan Gohan and were relative in strength to him. Super Saiyan Trunks even displayed the ability to match Super Saiyan Gohan individually. The lowest lowball you could give them would suggest they are only relative to him when fighting together, which still places their Super Saiyan forms above Base Gohan, who trained with Piccolo after the Super Hero Arc. Since Goku and Gohan have always been relative form to form, it implies that Goten and Trunks are also relative to Goku and Vegeta form to form.
- Bulma clarified that she brought the strongest on Earth. Goten and Trunks were brought alongside Android 18 and Krillin, while Tien and Roshi, who participated in the Tournament of Power alongside Krillin, were left out. Yamcha and Chiaotzu, who trained during the Moro Arc, were also mentioned, with Yamcha claiming to be one of the top 3 strongest Earthlings.
