I said Toriyama doesn't confirm it in one panel.

Also, as I explained before, Vegeta's statement should absolutely not act as substantiation. Vegeta doesn't believe he's even remotely comparable, and wanted to beat Frieza with just Gohan and Krillin.
Again, it's about contextualized argumentation. Vegeta's statement is not a reliable main argument, like, at all. Which is why it isn't trying to be one, it's still a somewhat considerable supporting evidence.

Goku's thoughts on how he'd fare against Second Form Freeza is the main argument, Vegeta's line is just a slight support of consistency to it.
 
I get exactly what's being argued which is why I've made the changes.

My point is that Vegeta's statement absolutely is not supporting evidence in any form. It's only 'consistent' if you strip it of any and all context.

Now the changes have been made and I'll close this.
