Best he do would try to H2H but I doubt it would work on a very skilled opponent. You could argue Gohan was dodging Perfect Cell but that mainly because of speed gap, not pure skill

Might be better to start Gohan in Super Saiyan. He'll still have the AP advantage, but because of speed equal, when he goes Super Saiyan 2, he'll have a 2x speed advantage. Which is notable enough to help, but not substantial enough to speedblitz stomp.
