Now, to reply to Squid Peanut's post on questioning Doom's ability to resist soul manipulation, let us take a look he events of Secret Wars #9.
It was shown that, though Black Panther possessed Infinity Gauntlet, he was easily overpowered by G.E. Doom. Now, keep in mind that one of the infinity gems (the soul gem) has the unlimited manipulation over souls. Couple that with the fact that the Gauntlet can boost the effects of the gems if united, and we can see Doom can withstand some heavy damage (soul damage included).
