Isn't that resistance? It seemed like the book tried to plot manip or reality warp 682, only for him to go "Go **** yourself" and just adapt to it, causing the story to change.

Nah a different feat gives him resistance. He changed the plot of the battle. He was meant to lose and die but changed the outcome the plot.
