Giorno resistance to Fate Manipulation

******* beat me to it

Anyways, yeah I agree with this CRT and would also like to provide some extra stuff

To my knowledge, there is also Jojoaveller statement that talks about how even if Epitaph predicts Giorno dying, it won't come to truth, or something along those lines. I wish could include it in this CRT but I am missing the scan for it, so whatever.
The Veller statement is here. Although the scan was machine translated so a more accurate translation would be appreciated. Could also add info about Epitaph's predictions being absolute and can never be overturned to emphasize this point.

Additionally, the Weiß Schwarz cards that were produced in collaboration with the Golden Wind anime also say that Giorno was chosen by fate itself, which is some more fate slop to be added to the pile I suppose.

Honestly not really sure whether this should be listed as straight up Fate manip that allows Giorno to say 'nah' to fate or rather just a resistance (dont think it should be limited tho), doesn't matter too much i guess.

Massive thanks to you for having the databook statement, I knew it existed but literally just couldn't find it lmao

No problem, i would also probably edit the scans into the OP so that people viewing this thread can find them more easily imo

I don't like this, mostly because the manga implies Giorno very well might have been in Florida too.
We ain't using that even if it isn't wrong. Like, it IS true, but you know how it is, canon stuff.

Also Veller I'd refrain from relying on, same with guides as a whole. We obviously can use them if they check out (Which it does here so that's fine), but we want a solid foundation based on main material first.

This isn't to say I disagree, his ass 100% negs fate to some degree, he absolutely does. The problaym is the evidence in the OP while it's a start, could be far better. The main hurdle is the fact Part 5 as a whole, is about fate, how absolute it is, how it can't be changed, and more, the whole soldiers of fate, and fate is a sleeping slave, tie into that. We basically need to make a whole ass blog detailing the narrative and the subtext of Part 5, to explain why Gio himself by the end is no longer a sleeping slave.

Which is to say I agree with the proposal, but someone like, really needs to get on that i dont wanna tho im busy.... because as it stands, this isn't solid enough evidence for wiki standards so idk Wyatt, Walt or DRW001, chop chop 🗿
Or we could be just go RTZ negs Epitaph and would 100% neg Cinderella, so it neg fate. But that's not the same as Gio himself having fate slop.

So a whole ass narrative analysis on the entirety of Golden Wind would be needed...? I've re-watched Part 5 a lot of times but that genuinely sounds like a daunting task

Well, at least it's good to know you agree with the proposal, since I was thinking with you on the same page about how he definitely should have some sort of fate related ability tied into his ability listing, but getting the required evidence to show that proved to be difficult.

One more thing to possibly note is that Fate always self corrects itself to follow the path of justice, which Giorno pretty blatantly follows imo.

It is, which is why I don't wanna do it 🫠

Pretty much. He has fate shit, deliberately even, intentionally. Hirohiko Araki actively wrote Part 5 in a way that led to that.
The problem is to explain it properly on why he has it, is tedious. Because it isn't like "Oh Gio resists fate" it's the subtext of the entire Part that needs to be sorted out and explained. Like I know he has it, you know he has it, but lil Timmy looking up the profile or mods accepting this gonna look at the evidence and go "ew gross wtf no?". Which is to say, probably need a blog for it. Hell at that point may as well make a JoJo fate blog as a whole.

Uh

This is old af, not comprehensive, and obviously written badly with zero care for spelling because it was acting more like a note. But there's some fate slop in here, people can just steal the scans idc.
