Alright so in the thread I linked above my brother volunteered to read the Get Backers Manga which he did and I also read it and since he isn't as free as I am I decided to create the thread regarding it's power. Sadly the site we read it on no longer has it so I'll half to go to another site and find them.

Though I simply wanted to quickly say that the verse is INCONVENIENT! to say the least. Now I say this because they possess dozens of statements that some of them have Infinite Power and about two statements of two characters transcending time but theirs just one big problem... Their feats are in no way shape or form even close to City Level. That's not the half of it I'm afraid, the main goal of the strongest bad guy and several others is to make it to the top of the place known as Infinity Fortress to gain the Power to remake the surface of the earth... Not even the whole planet. To make matters worse the creator doesn't even seem to know where his characters stand. He has some of them brag about being as hard as steel... But then has them smash clean through large walls and shatter steel.

They even mention that their is a Higher Dimension or as the characters call it a Super Reality but when the characters enter this place their feats aren't better then the ones outside it. Also one of the strongest characters gets shot near the end of the manga by an ordinary machine gun.

Plus their explanation of this Super Reality sound more like it's a parallel Dimension rather than a higher one. It's stated "Imagine how a ghost can strangle you in your sleep but when you wake up you actually have finger print marks on your neck". Also first they say your spiritual energy is what gives you power in this realm but then they say it's your will power.

Also the characters that have their own territories/Dimensions inside Infinity Fortress and the Super Reality are never given a size but since the goal is to get the power to remake the surface of the earth then it's safe to assume their not that big and they never actually showed them create them and their feats don't back it up at all. Plus the characters that they stat "Transcend Time" simply connected with the time flow of Infinity Fortress and and altered their own age to their prime and that's it.

There is more inconsistencies but I'm about to leave so I can't name them all, I'll try an gets some scans soon.

This scan shows his characters are superhuman. The second scan shows of Mido Ban's Snake Grip which is stated to have a 200 Kg pr square inch force, he can also break apart metal.

These next two scans show Akabane (one of the most powerful characters) is capable of cutting people to pieces with Scalpels with no difficulty and so fast that they didn't even know they where cut. (Note he can also cut through large rocks with his sword)

Here is one of the best showings of if not the strongest characters. Not that in the second scan he is stated he has broken through time and space but all that has changed is his appearnce, he hasn't become 4-D and those explosions are one of his only feats, The third scan is his explosion wave.

Here is a misconception in this scan the man in the white is stated to have gained complete control of the Beltline's Time Stream but not that he cannot manipulate time in anyway. The Beltline is stated to have a different time flow that drains your life force unlike in Lower Town where you heal faster. So he is simply able to remain unaffected by the Beltline's life drain effect.

Here is where one of the strongest characters get shot (the one on the top panel). In the second scan he gets shot again and the bullet grazes his cheek (top left corner)

Well, it seems better to avoid creating any profiles for Getbackers if it is so hard to properly quantify.

I agree, seeing this kinda of problems with a story with so much NLF made me realize why there are not profiles for the characters.

Here is one of the best strength feats especially for the beginning and the main characters can take blows from this guy and later in the story compare other characters to his Strength so this would scale to many others of the verse.

To easily keep everything together I'll re read the manga and grab feats from each act. Their are 12 Acts in all so it won't be a problem.

Been a while since i read GB. But the disc sword and the katana are 2 different object albeit made out of the same material. The son's disc sword is indeed over 100 kg, but the father gave different numbers on his katana weight IIRC.
