Gerard Valkyrie Downgrade?

On Gerard's profile his base form (before he got giant) is placed at island level for facing a senjunaru clone, however this contradicts his other fights. When he fought Renji and Byakuya (both only mountain level at best) they overpowered him and forced him to utilize his miracle power. How could Gerard be island level if two mountain busters beat him? It makes no sense.

Gerard should have his base form downgraded to mountain level or maybe large mountain level of you want to be super generous since it took Byakuya AND Renji to overpower him. Either way he shouldn't be island level

Didn't Gerard fight Byakuya, Renji, Rukia, Shinji, Momo all at once? Even if he didn't fight them all at once, he definitely fought at least Byakuya plus Renji and one of them is Low 6-B.

Byakuya is only small country in Bankai. He was in shikai when he fought base Gerard

Since gerard is scaling off senjumaru who is island level, then gerard being island level is definitely correct, so actually wouldn't that mean that the others should get upgraded rather than Gerard being downgraded (which would contradict his previous feat) ?

The senjmuaru clone was created for the sole reason of buying time for Kirio to create her cage of life. There is no evidence to say that it was equal in power to the real senjumaru. If you could prove that it was equal to the real senjumaru then yes everyone who scales to shikai Byakuya and shikai Renji would be upgraded to island level

Also Burning I noticed Byakuya doesn't have a shikai key. Someone should add that so that there is no confusion between his shikai power and bankai power

Sorry I may have forgotten, but where did it say that the clone was created for that sole reason and where is the evidence that it's weaker than the real senjumaru? Some scans would be nice please

As soon as the clone got killed senjumaru told them that there were actually in a fake soul palace created by Ichibei. Then Ichibei said, "if you've given us away that means the cage is ready"

Basically they were just buying time for Kirio to make the cage. So an upgrade to Renji and Byakuya is very unlikely

Whether an upgrade for renji happens or not, Ichibei didn't actually say the sole reason of the clones is for the cage. Also if the clones were supposed to be able to fend them off until the cage is ready, then doesn't that imply that they are somewhat comparable to the original copies. The quote you said leads me more to believe that the clones just had a time limit or they deteriorated in strength over time, rather than them being significantly weaker. So I'd really appreciate it if you could provide some scans please.

The way I read is on an iPhone app so i don't want to give a different translation than the one I read. Just search for bleach chapter 598 and you'll see what I mean.

It might be a different chapter. 600 to be precise. And for one thing clones area typically weaker than the original.

Yeah, there is no proof that it is the same power as the real senjumaru and if it was it would cause ridiculous upgrades to the verse that don't make sense. I'll change Gerard if no one else has anything to say on the matter
