The present continuos just means that an action or condition is currently happening/true. The earth having a bulge is a current condition, so that tense is accurate, even if it not actively growing in size.
Can people pls stop bringing up the seal till we know how it works/what it is. For all we know the issue isn't that it continues to bulge, but that it continues to have a bulge. I dont know, you dont know, nobody knows, dont bring it up
Dude. Thats not a physics issue. That's a logic issue. By that logic everything you dislike and goes against your claim is a physics issue as everything is based on the fundamental laws of physics. A character you want to claim moved at great speeds not moving at great speeds under the assumption you picked is an issue you created yourself.

It's because you can't eat the cake and have the cake at the same time. Once you eat it it is gone, its akin to "you can't have it both ways" in that sense. It's confusing due to "have" which is to signify possession, so the statement would be like "you can't keep your cake, and eat it to".
TLDR; It's a poorly worded phrase.

It's not, the time it took the mountain to flatten, or how much time it took the shockwave to reach the other side of the planet is completely irrelevant to the feat, all that matters is how fast the continent was raised.
And it was pretty fast considering how the continental plate was raised on page 15, and in page 17 Blast is already creating a portal to check what's going on.
Which means the next page with the bulged Earth in the portal happened right in that instant.
