Lance has home court advantage, the advantage of a gun and a sword to alternate with, but less combat experience in general.
Jaco has heavy arsenal with Extinction Bombs, but would be unprepared for the Castle of Lions Training System, where Lance has a lot of experience training in.
I think Lance takes this due to being a competent weapon fighter, field advantage and also being a quick learner, meaning he could get somewhat of an idea on how Jaco fights.

I wouldn't say Lance has a complete Weapon Competence advantage. Just a different one. WIth Lance, he does Sword + Gun while Jaco uses almost exclusively Gun-katta (CQC with Guns) and your standard marksmanship. We can't exactly say which is superior or not flat out because Gunkatta and Sword + Gun Style combat are fundementally different ways of battle.
Jaco himself is a fairly competent learner; setting up traps and taking out dozens of Freeza Soldiers with the environment instead of attempting to say, brute force his way through. He's also a Police Officer of Space that's far more technologically advanced than Earth so at minimum he should have Modern-Day Police Officer Training + Unquantifiable advancements cuz "lol Space Police".
Now I am unfamiliar with the environment but from what I'm hearing, isn't giving one side a homefield advantage like this null any chance of the match being added?
It'll be like me fighting Hulk Hogan in a maze full of traps that I've completely memorized while Hulk Hogan saw it for 5 seconds prior to the match.
