crocodile is faster, otherwise they are equal in stats,
gaara has a sealing jutsu but only usuable with shukakus help and it needs a considerable amount of time,
crocodile has a one-hit-kill and would be able to manipulate sand too, if croco turns the battlefield into a desrt he has several kilometers of attack range, he should winnning more than losing,
gaaras only option would be if he stays in the air and tries to somehow attack crocodile, unfortunatly a sandstorm would take him down
8/10 for cocodile ^_^

Gaara doesn't need Shukaku to do his sealing jutsu if you mean that Pyramid thing.

^yeah, that was the one, didnt he want shukakus help for the jutsu?
either way, it takes to much time, to complete it, crocodile could easily free himself with the sand-sword every time gaara tries to use it

^crocodile is massively hypersonic while gaara is hypersonic+, croco is a lot faster...
^^ah sorry, i forgot them but my point still stands, the jutsu takes way to much time in order to capture crocodile...
