The psychic wave from Professor X with Cerebro can harm the soul, so Magneto's helmet should have resistance to Soul Manipulation since he's unaffected by the wave. And Jean Grey should also have the resistance, since when she is manifesting her powers she creates a scrambling field around her thoughts unlike anything Professor X had ever encountered, making her superior to the helmet which would also give her its other resistances (Illusion Creation and Limited Quantum Manipulation). Phoenix Jean Grey should have Soul Manipulation as her psychic powers are more powerful than Professor X's even while his telepathy was heightened to an unimaginable extent, plus her telepathy can reach the soul and sense them
Lady Deathstrike was still alive after being injected with molten Adamantium across her body that burned her insides and couldn't breathe, even after the place was destroyed by a flood and she was buried under countless tons of rubble. I don't know if that's enough to qualify as Self-Sustenance or any other ability, if it's something Wolverine should have it too since he's comparable to her

It seems like it's just an metaphor, there's no proof that it actually affects soul, so I disagree with it because it seems exaggerated
The text describes exactly what the psychic wave was doing, harming the body, mind and also the soul, you are cherry picking a single word from it and call it a metaphor when it's explicit, and the proof is the statement itself

Low-key he's kinda right, the semantics of what was written, kinda infer that it was metaphorical rather than actual. But everything else seems fine

Yes, it is described that way, but what actually happened in movie was not like that, so I would say it is more of a metaphorical You will have to show me that humans and mutants are actually being attacked spiritually because what I see is that their minds are being torn apart. If they are attacked spiritually, there is a good chance that they will never be able to return to normal or think critically because of spiritual impact

That doesn't make any sense, it's like saying the wave wasn't affecting them mentally because they didn't end up with brain damage or memory loss and were just suffering physical pain, and all the humans across the planet would have died eventually if the wave hadn't been stopped. Again, the evidence is the statement itself, which according to you everything is literal except for one word that somehow is metaphorical

However, I will wait for other people opinions. I don't think telepathy can actually harm a souls. It could just be a spirit that is not really a souls, as shown in Dr Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, where he tried to save Wanda 838 spirit from Scarlet Witch, who was not really a souls Dreamwalking spells are the removal of the soul from the body into another body in another universe, as Mordo explain, so it is not a true souls form
