This is simply where I propose much of the FFIX cast be upgraded.

First of all, now that Garland is Large Planet level+ based on this calc, a few other characters should be upgraded as well (Namely Alexander, Necron and Trance Kuja [Who could also harm a weakened Garland with physical strikes, meaning his striking strength should be Class XKJ+]).

Second, the sandstorm Kuja dispelled was powered by a piece of Alexander's power, meaning base Kuja should also be Large Planet level+. This would in turn upgrade base (As well as Trance) Zidane, Bahamut, The Ark and Deathguise.

Third, and this is really minor, but their lifting strength should be higher than Superhuman+ based on this (Skip to 23:17).

Any opinion would be appreciated.

Now as someone with no knowledge about Final Fantasy I can not say much the first topic.

About the second: If the sandstorm was just powered by a piece of the power the total energy it was powered with was a lot less than Alexanders, right?

Also passive spells can sometimes be dispelled without the user really noticing/without having to drain the users power or otherwise some spells can be negated through the correct anti-spell. So was negating the spell actually a competition of power in the magic system of FF?

Very well.

It was about 1/4, which is around 12 ninatons, but even just 1% (Which it wasn't) would be 489 yottatons.

It was mainly the fact that it was powered by a Large Planet level+ being, and Kuja dispelling it would mean he's very powerful. And yes, I believe more often than not, negating spells are competitions of power (Like when Sephiroth overpowered Holy though sheer willpower). I'm pretty sure the sandstorm wasn't an attack, it was just there, and Kuja dispelled it.

I think that power-scaling the other characters to Garland seems reasonable. However, I am not sure where to place their strength levels?

If you're referring to my second point, I see no reason 1/4 of Alexander's power wouldn't be Large Planet level+ as well.

If you're referring to my third point, then it doesn't matter (Like I said, it was a minor point), but I think we should just opt for "At least Class 100+".

II think Class 100 seems like lowballing it. "Unknown" seems more reasonable.

I guess, I don't really care about that point either way.

I'll upgrade all the characters if you want.

I think that should be fine, thank you.
