Yes. Jackie can make virtually anything he desires with the Darkness. This ranges from tentacles to body armor to guns to Darklings to copies of himself to fully sentient beings.

How much light is needed to actually deactivate his powers?

Any source of light will start to dispel his powers or erase anything he's created with the Darkness.

Jackie standing in a room with the light turned on will prevent him from accessing the Darkness.

Not true. True for the games maybe.

But it needs to be sunlight or special bright UV light in the comics, not just light from candles or normal light bulbs.

No, the Darkness is the absence of light. ANY sufficienty strong light will weaken or disable it.

One candle? Yeah, nowhere near strong enough. A thousand? That might be a different story.

Heck at one point in the comics, Jackie was in an office where he didn't manifest the Darkness until the light went out.

His constructs like darklings crumble in light, what if he made a mortal woman, would she crumble or would she be solid enough to survive sunlight?
