That's right, but he wasn't able to copy Zangetsu's ability or power at all, only its appearance, which is why Ichigo has power mimicry resistance.

No, he copied Yamamoto's Zanpakuto even though Yamamoto is way more powerful than Tokinada.

He also copied Aizen's, who's also way more powerful than Tokinada.

Zangetsu and Ichigo are special hence why they have the resistance. And I'm not 100% sure since it's not visual, but I believe Tokinada was copying the pre TYBW and potentially the FKT or prior version of Ichigo. Based on what we saw, he couldn't copy Bankai, and it was mentioned that he made one Zangetsu blade. Ichigo from back then shouldn't be stronger than him.

If he made Fullbring Shikai Ichigo's blade, then that would be different but no clarification
