I believe that I.R.I.S. would give the user FTL reaction speed via upscaling from older quantum computer tech such as this one that could operate under 6.5 nanoseconds.

First off It's stated by Zain that it is outfitted with the most advanced tools and software that will increase the senses beyond the normal capacity of the human's cerebrum:


Second, it is stated by Zain himself that anyone who utilizes I.R.I.S can be as good as the most advanced computers and take over the entirety of Cyberraya:


Just to add on why would I.R.I.S. be superior to our modern day quantum computer such as the one above.
I.R.I.S. contains a dimension within itself. (82:35)
The world where Ali resides in contain futuristic technology that surpasses our own such as 6G, Artificial Suns, Hyperloop Trains and new breakthroughs in Quantum Computers

This works for me. Although are there feats where the characters see the world as slowed down? If not then reaction speeds would work better.

I mean they are still capable of reacting to each other's analytical predictions shown in Ali vs Uno. Override mode also simply allow its users to blitz others even those initially far faster than themselves. Such as that time when Alicia has Atlas Override. She could fire a danmaku worth of Gravity Bullets when she could only do 3 in a row without stopping without the usage of Atlas.

The first time Ali utilized I.R.I.S. he practically saw All of Dos' attacks and Trez's shockwave generation even momentarily staring down at its trajectory while Trez was still in midair before dodging to the side.

That wouldn't be reaction speed then

Reaction speed is reacting to an attack that you don't know is going to happen, or at a very close range.

The range wasn't very close and Ali knew the attack was going to happen

Honestly, the feat doesn't match what the reaction speed section of the Speed page says it needs to be reaction speed, but what you said about Ali moving after the shockwave was generated is also true. So I'm not 100% sure whether it is or not.

Unless I'm mistaken, reaction speed is both timeframe and distance. I.R.I.S. analyses and predicts the actions of someone before the user can do something, which would be perception speed

Yeah but it still allowed Ali to dodge something many thousands of time faster than himself.

It could just be the reaction speed that I.R.I.S. provides. So it should just be straight up reaction speed and not just FTL.

How about Override mode? That one was definitely reaction if he's controlled by his mother's data.

I.R.I.S. could perceive and perform counterattacks to danger so how about this, I.R.I.S. Neo, Atlas Override and only I.R.I.S. override mode get FTL reaction while having FTL perception in its normal state.
