So if a character gave a statement that an earthquake could “move mountains”, what magnitude would that be?

The move entails majorly shifting the Earth, so I would say so.Depends. Does move mountains just entail shaking them? If so, nothing too high. If it means move mountains as in completely shifting from their original position, I would assume magnitude XII. The highest magnitude. The earthquake page states "Large rock masses displaced" is a characteristic of an earthquake belonging to the highest magnitude.
Then yeah, definitely the highest magnitude. The move entails majorly shifting the Earth, so I would say so.
Here’s the move in question and the context of the quote. Then yeah, definitely the highest magnitude.
Oh shoot, it's Shantae. I actually have a general discussion thread for it, and was gathering feats for it.Here’s the move in question and the context of the quote.
Yeah, that’s what I meant in regard to shifting the Earth. I was more so looking for stuff for Harmony’s mountain statement.Oh shoot, it's Shantae. I actually have a general discussion thread for it, and was gathering feats for it.
That said, I don't think the statement is implying she shakes the entirety of the planet. I think she means earth as in ground. Since earth and ground are interchangeable. AKA a portion of earth. And the most the quake dance ever does is destroy a lot of blocks in a large area. But I'll run it by a friend.
Then yeah, I'd say moving the mountains in this case is implicative of the highest magnitude.Yeah, that’s what I meant in regard to shifting the Earth. I was more so looking for stuff for Harmony’s mountain statement.
I talked to a friend. He said make a calc with two ends. Mag 4, and Mag 7. Mag 4 is a low-end for being able to shake the mountain (Showed him the statements). Mag 7 is because her quake dance can pulverize rock, collapse/crumble large steel structures, and instantly kill enemies in-game. Use the radiated waves method (Since it can cause earthquakes on a flying ship, but you can also make a high-end using tectonic plates since it's verbatim stated to shift the earth which is how earthquakes work), and use the diameter of a mountain for the radius of the earthquake. The diameter of a mountain is twice the height, which iirc, the wiki has the average mountain at like 609 meters tall or whatever.Yeah, that’s what I meant in regard to shifting the Earth. I was more so looking for stuff for Harmony’s mountain statement.
