I don't know rn, but I'm leaning toward Spyro due to superior combat abilities/versatility, better fighting experience, and the fact I believe he has fought dragons before (Only "familiar" with Spyro (Skylanders))
Edit: Also due to likely having to use fire, eventually FMR will not be able to fly in a drawn out fight

As was somewhat stated before, and which I wanna clarify, Spyro likely wins mainly due to combat experience and intelligence. See, the way the dragons were described in "A Fantasy Made Real" made them out as little more than animals, capable of using their own biology the same way most animals can to hunt and survive. However, Spyro is capable of sentient thought, much like a human. And as I've talked about before in other versus debates, Human Intelligence > Animal Intelligence. Spyro would be able to easily outmaneuver the dragon, although it would give him a little trouble with its greater size, and he would be able to either ram it to death or burn it to death. In any case, it would be extremely unlikely for Spyro to lose against a wild dragon, so my vote goes to the purple dragon.

Spyro also has Convection breath, wich has the power of a particle acelorater. Good luck defending that.
