Now that Filler have evidence of being canon, it should be take into account when scaling Dragon Ball Z and Super

Just entertaining the thought...
The fact that now of these statements even remotely suggests that the manga and the anime are connected is astonishing.
  1. Toriyama calling the Dragon Ball anime his work is like Tezuka calling the 2009 Astro Boy movie his own.
  2. The line about Toriyama being moved to tears by the Bardock special and the "connected to the original manga" thing are taken out of context. The "connected to the original manga" statement was made under the pretext that the Bardock special was an expansion of the brief image of Bardock from the manga. However, as we know, now, the Bardock special is not canon.
  3. "Dragon Ball, it's the anime and the manga" thing falls under the Tezuka example.
  4. The one at the bottom is just referencing the schedule in which Toei adapts the manga.
  5. "... even to the point of completely ignoring the comic". Toriyama is acknowledging the fact that the anime is distinct from the manga.
  6. "... turns it right into an independent entity …"
He made designs.
Excuse my language, but what the **** even is this?
and appear in DBS, he is stated to be in the comic but hide somewhere
Really?
This is not even funny.
**** me
DBS has a lot of Flashback referencing DBZ Anime
The Super anime using clips from the Z anime is a result of the two being in the same medium. Why would they use manga panels?

  1. Toriyama calling the Dragon Ball anime his work is like Tezuka calling the 2009 Astro Boy movie his own.
That's irrevelant since the point was he was involved

It is via being in the manga which show it's connect to the manga yet was born in the anime, now there is just a retcon not it being not canon

'Dragon Ball, it's the anime and the manga" thing falls under the Tezuka example.
That doesn't since he is saiying it is the same thing supporting them connected, that doesn't at all looks like your Tezuka example

even to the point of completely ignoring the comic". Toriyama is acknowledging the fact that the anime is distinct from the manga.
That is not him saiying they are different. He only said as long as it's interested he doesn't care if they changa a bit things, which doesn't means making them different since the anime only add things to the manga so ignoring it while doing so doesn't means they are distinct

  1. "... turns it right into an independent entity …"
" turns it right into an independent entity on film" only refering to it turning into a anime, not about it being distinct
He made designs.
Still works and no he also give ideas and works on original episode

Excuse my language, but what the **** even is this?
A Statement from the interview making the anime 100% loyal to the manga

Yes really

This is not even funny.
Good, it's not supposed to be

The Super anime using clips from the Z anime is a result of the two being in the same medium. Why would they use manga panels?

Why wouldn't they ? Nothing stop them from doing so or doing remake of these flashback, yet no they show the Z clip so meaning they live the anime
