dragon ball daima had the most anticlimactic ending, holy shit how boring "ah, but it's humor and jokes", when majin kuu managed to land all 3 hits I couldn't even laugh mentally, it was a mix of emptiness and sadness

After an incredible episode 18 and 19 I can't believe I waited a week super excited for this abomination

No fusion bugs either, after literally hinting it at the beggining. They even go back at the same shop at end just for humor

Majin Kuu is a certified party pooper now

Gen Z is trying to cancel Majin Kuu

Majin Kuu getting the final blow rules and is Toriyama humour at it's finest, DBS and it's "We got hype moments and aura (In like 10 episodes of it's entire run)" has poisoned ya' brains.
I don’t think something being funny makes it good tbh. I generally don’t think that the final blow should have been comedic but to each their own ig

Either Daima is just the wet dream all of us collectively had, or Goku in the next super manga arc transforms into SSJ4 suddenly and says something like "Yeah, I forgot this transformation and now remember it back."

Why would he transform into a inferior form all of a sudden?

Anyway my personal overall thoughts on Daima is that I think it was pretty good, in terms of sequels to the og manga this outdoes GT and Super (Which tbf ain't hard to do). Pacing was kinda meh, def feels like there should've been another 5 episodes to flesh it out a bit more and most of the lore being just exposition dumps is pretty lame (Toriyama's always struggled with this, only time he really nailed it was the period between the saiyan and namek sagas). Animation for the most part was great, really funny looking at a lot of Super and seeing what a world of difference it makes with actual planning and giving animators more than a week and a few pennies budget.

The world building was nice, albeit a bit undercooked. I also loved the fights, the choreography overall is some of the best the series has seen in a decade, and the characters and character interactions were really good, same with the comedy which was esspecially good with Vegeta and the new majins, the gag with Bulma and Vegeta in ep 19 is one of the best in the entire series. Can tell Toriyama was behind the pen for most of it. Except for Degesu, tbh I forgot he even existed until the end of the episode he was just... there. A solid 8/10 this was a super fun mini series.

Either way someone from the Demon realm had to beat him as they'll become the demon king

Just popping in to say I really liked Daima. It had some parts I didn't like but overall it had everything I like about DB; hype, fun characters, and humor. I understand not liking the ending but I personally don't have a problem with it. Also I should have put in record that I knew Kuu was the Goat from day one.

Dragonbbalk wiki saying ssj4 Goku's Kamehameha in Daima was a 10x Kamehameha

What that wiki's source?

A Geração Z está tentando cancelar o Majin Kuu
I’m not that “blood and gore and 3 minutes of characters staring at each other without saying anything” kind of fan. I was loving Daima until episode 19, but this 20th episode I really thought was shit, they tried to do "subversion of expectations" and I thought it was terrible, it seems like all you've seen these last few weeks was the construction of a bad joke, I couldn't even get angry or anything like that, I just didn't feel anything watching the scene of Majin Kuu defeating the gomah.

I genuinely think they were trying to set up a season 2 hence why fusion bugs and 2 other evil eyes were introduced but then the goat died (rip). I think they’re either going to leave this final episode as his legacy or to continue it with a season 2

No one's accusing you

I mean I get it but it would've also been anti-climatic if Goku just won that fight by overpowering him. Kuu defeating Gomah and accidentally becoming Demon King is actually funny imo

My god, what a journey, I've really had tons of fun with this series. Everything was so Toriyama-esque to the very end, and it's perfect as it is.
Honestly, who cares about power levels or canonicity, it was a fun and inspiring product, which has left me with hunger for more of the Demon World and its people.

ok, I respect your opinion I hope Super Saiyan 4 shows up in Super, to make me forget this ending

I wonder what people would say nowadays about Yajirobe cutting Oozaru Vegeta's tail or Mr. Satan being extremely instrumental in achieving victory against Cell and Bu.

what a bad comparison

It's like Mister Satan killed Cell and poisoned Buu by killing him with chocolates or something. Furthermore, the yajirobe is considerably strong for the time, compared to the Kuu Gomah was regenerating from the injury, and getting even stronger, an expectation of more action was created and that expectation was destroyed only to become Kuu's unfunny joke, false symmetry

Never in the history of Dragon Ball has there been a comic relief character on the level of Mr. Satan defeating the final villain This villain wasn't even weakened and was getting stronger and stronger, which makes everything even worse
