DOOM upgrades?

According to the prophetic tree in hell, the crucible is capable of "Corrupting all realms." later on Samuel Hayden states that he cannot kill the Doomslayer even with the crucible in hand, not to mention the Titan supposedly survived multiple hits from it, also can't demons absorb entire dimensions into hell? The titan was immesurably greater than all demons before it combined, and the doomguy slapped him without armor.

Corrupting dimensions with power alone would lead it to be a higher dimensional weapon, we don't know too much about the crucible itself until doom eternal. So I'll hold my judgment until then. Effecting 4D structures would lead me to think it has 4D capability as there isnt in inkling within game that leads us to any hax the crucible has, besides maybe energy absorption.

Wasnt Gannon going to be upgraded to 3-A for corrupting one of the Goddes's realm or something?

Even then.

1.Huge outlier since the gap would be from 8-A to 3-A.

2.Samuel said that it cant kill him but that doesnt mean he would use the Crucible, as he is using the same energy to hold him in the installations.

3.We dont know if the Crucible is the weapon use to fight the Titan or not, if anything it could be just a Argent-Energy based Sword.

You can't "corrupt" with "power alone". Power is energy and energy can destroy or create. It can't corrupt. Corrupt is an idea that has no basis in science, energy, or power.

Corruption should never give AP unless that corruption changed quantifiable aspects of the target.

1: How is that an outlier, demons literally absorb timelines, the game isn't even true canon or accurate to the lore so calling something that previously happened and something based on lore an outlier is just faulty when it is consistent with the nature of demons, they literally absorbed the entire realm of Argent D'nur.

2: uhh, he was user the tether system introduced several levels earlier, nothing implies he was even using the crucible at all, he sprung it on like a light saber and walked away.

3: Very high chance for it to have been the crucible it being the only energy sword we've seen so far in the verse.

Corruption does change quantifiable aspects of the target in doom, Argent D'nur was a heaven like realm before being corrupted by the demons. Also how and why do you get to dictate whether or not you can corrupt with power alone? Seeing as several unrelated effects can come from power in many a fiction, not only that but it is several timelines at once.

@Jangles

And how do you quantify the ability to turn a heaven-like realm into a hell-like realm? How big of a realm? Was the corruption over time? There are so many variables and "what-ifs" here that make this unquantifiable.

Also if demons "literally absorb timelines" you need to prove that, because that is a massive feat that needs to be shown.

Corruption seems more gradual than anything else. It's a demonic artifact, and as such should be able to spread demonic influence and srgent energy, but that doesn't mean it does so instantaneously.

Don't remember anything about demons absorbing timelines.

We'll probably learn more about the Crucible in Eternal when it comes out since he can use it there, but I don't think anything on it right now at all indicates tier 2.

Yeah, I'm pretty skeptical on this; I'm unsure "corrupting realms of unknown size" is something that could be considered AP. It could be a possible range feat at best, but I'm not even sure if the statement is a hyperbole. Anyway, I'm pretty sure we could get some significant upgrades eventually, but it's better to wait for Doom Eternal to come out. Also, I never heard of outright "Absorbing other timelines." Travelling to different timelines yes, but not absorb them.

For the time being, I highly doubt anything above Tier 6 is going to happen; and even then, that's iffy and should preferably wait for the next game as mentioned above. Additionally, 3-A Ganon was rejected iirc, and it's not like Dark Samus is 3-A or 2-C based on similar statements.

Wait what do they have in tier 6? BFG 10K preliminary calc or something?

No, just some general fan theory speculations; such as rumored surface busting feats or shaking the Earth; which are High 6-A to Low 6-B respectively. That might just be jokes though, but my point remains is that the Tier 3 to 2 stuff is a no. The best thing scale from aside from Titan is Praetor Armor's "Completely immune to everything in the UAC's possession" statement.

Ah. I could see feats escalating in Eternal, but we have to wait for the game to actually come out for that.

Also to wait for people to actually look for the feats because playing a game for feats and not enjoyment is kinda silly
