Doing What Your Future Self Couldn’t Do (Gohan vs Android 17)

I'd say Android 17 takes this high-dif because of infinite stamina. His barrier should be able to shield him from everything Gohan can throw at him, and if needs be he can cause the barriers to blow up, which Gohan isn't surviving.

Gohan was strong enough to force Goku into using SSGSS Kaioken x20, while 17 didn't
this is proven by how much 17 struggled against Base Toppo, even though the likes of Goku and Vegeta could beat him 1 on 1
Therefore Gohan has about a 20 times stats advantage against 17
the issue is that Gohan has literally zero answers to 17's barriers.
17 can put up a barrier and just sit there until Gohan becomes too tired, then go in for the kill
sure you can argue that Gohan can blitz OHKO 17 before he puts up a barrier, but it's extremely out of character for him to do so, plus he only gains the advantage after transforming, and you can argue that 17 can blitz him right back before he does that.
17 wins unless Bloodlusted

1. Gohan was oneshot by KKX20 Goku so he isn’t “20x stronger” than 17 who is Blue Goku level
2. Gohan specifically wanted Goku to fight him at full power
You could argue that Gohan is very smart and would probably try to find a weak point as he fights

I’d like to also add that the reason Goku didn’t go full power against 17 is because 17 didn’t want to disturb and scare the animals he wanted to protect on his island
Edit: actually, it was because he didn’t want to destroy his island, and to probably protect the creatures

that's definitely a fair point, but Goku is a master at controlling his power. Even with his full power SSGSS Kaioken x10 against Hit, he could control his power enough to barely crack the stone fighting ring he was standing on.

17 should win this. His infinite stamina and barriers would be very difficult for Gohan to overcome, and he can also envelop his fists with his barriers for extra power. Also, Goku did not use SSGSS Kaioken x20 against Gohan: it was just his regular SSGSS Kaioken. The only time in which he was explicitly confirmed to have used that multiplier was against Jiren in the Tournament of Power. It would be rash to assume that Goku automatically uses x10 or x20 Kaio-Ken every time, as it's a habit of Goku's to state the multiplier of the Kaio-Ken before he uses it, as he did it while fighting Vegeta, while fighting Frieza on Namek, and while fighting Hit in the Tournament of Destroyers.

I don't think he or Gohan can outright overpower the other but he doesn't need to. His barrier gives him the ability to engage and disengage as he see fits. Gohan's not dumb, he won't waste energy trying to batter down the barrier but he can't do anything when 17 deploys it. Due to 17's infinite stamina, he can draw the fight out as long as he wants or needs. Gohan simply cannot fight forever and will eventually need to rest and recuperate.
