Does Poison Resistance work for every single poison?

If someone has poison resistance for resisting poison from something like a blue ringed octopus, does it mean they can resist different kinds of poisons like poisonous chemicals in dangerous factories? I was thinking that if poison resistance is an extremely variable thing then some matches can be made with poison users against characters who only resist a certain type of poison

No, not every user or a character who has a poison resistance can resist every type of poison. Although, you can always do an argument if a said poison has the same reasonable potency and properties to the point, they can “resist” this poison. You simply need to match its identities.

It can vary widely in its scope and limitations based on the rules established by the verse. In many cases, a character's resistance to a specific type of poison, like that from a blue-ringed octopus, might not necessarily mean they are resistant to all types of poisons, including poisonous chemicals in dangerous factories.

It's necessary to consider the specific rules and mechanics of the verse in which these characters exist. Some settings might have characters with broad poison resistance, making them immune (resistant) to various toxic substances, while others might have more specific and limited resistances.
