Let's say a 4D being touches a 5D being (but doesn't damage or kill them), does that upscale the 4D being to 5D?

It's most likely Range or a mix of Range and NPI.

I mean, as long as it doesn't affect more than an infinitesimal part of it touching is technically perfectly normal. Higher D beings are not necessarily incorporeal or anything.
