Do I need to open a CRT to create a Tier 1 character profile?

Do I need to open a CRT to create a Tier 1 character profile? or can I create it without a CRT?

Yes, it's compulsory to have a crt before posting the profile, you can make a sandbox of your profile and propose it in crt section.

No? You don't need a crt to create a profile, that's just an option that some people prefer to do so there is discussion about if the profile is fine or not. However, in the very specific case of tier 1 and above profiles they indeed need a crt, as they are very different from the tiers below and experts need to evaluate if they meet the requirements.

Your reply was worded in such a general way that would give to understand to those reading the impresion that it was a requirement to create profiles in general, if you was saying that only meaning tier 1 profiles creation you should had be more clear.
