I doubt Transmutation would be highly effective against a fellow Matter Manipulator - especially one hundreds of times more powerful than you. However I will say that Chaos Manipulation could be the tipping factor for Discord. How does it work?

I never said it foes. But its going to be harder to our-perform someone who uses the same skill as you than it would to defeat someone who cant use that skill. A gunman can easily kill and unarmed man, but it would be far harder to kill another armed man (disregarding if one is overwhelmingly more skilled than the other) wouldn't it? So how does his Chaos Manipulation work?

Well, knowing Discord, it would be totally in character for him to just turn the opponent into something else as soon as he gets annoyed. Discord is literally the spirit of chaos and disharmony, almost everything he does breaks the laws of physics or causes disorder in some way.

He could hit Discord really hard and knock him out, so, yeah, the AP advantage helps a lot here, it just happens that as soon as he gets tries to attack, he is being turned into a potato.

Would that even work? Considering Discord can use his mind even with a petrified brain? Besides, one hit would splatter Discord, who would reform. Not to mention he has "likely limitless" to high stamina.Paulo.junior.969 said:

Dude. If he is 100x Discord, then any hit would splatter him from the sheer AP difference. He wouldn't get the chance to be knocked out.Paulo.junior.969 said:

There's also a chance of doing both. If you hit your head hard enough to break your skull, you'll be out for sure, especially when this is a "Fight to a KO", according to OP. But this doesn't matter anyway, Discord can just blink him out of existence.

I know Discord could. I just doubt he can be knocked out. You get knocked out when your brain crashes into your skull, or overwhelmed by pain. Problem here is: Discord can stay conscious even with his physical brain disabled.

There's a great bit of difference between John's Matter Manipulation and Discord's flat-out Reality Warping. Given the fact that Discord can go intangible himself and phase through John's first attack, he can easily then counterattack with a quick transformation that incapacitates John and then who knows what would happen after that. Now, granted, due to John's potentially higher AP, he might win if he surprises Discord, but due to the fact that he's a rational military thinker, and Discord is a being who literally embodies chaos, adding to this the fact that the Green Lanturn has a weakness towards things that can make him lose focus (which Discord is a master of doing), and I think there's an easy answer to who wins here.
