I know this is like the oldest topic of discussion and controversy here, but i still got some things i don't get.
What i don't get is how a higher dimensional being can affect a lower dimensional being. Now I've heard people explain "they can affect the higher dimensional structure in which the lower dimensional structure exists", but i don't see how this is possible. The typical example is tearing a piece of paper in which 2D planes exist, but why would tearing this 3D space, governed by 3D physics, be affected by forces and matter that operate in three dimensions. This may be a case of misunderstanding the example, but suppose a 2D plane lie within the paper, and i tore it, i don't see why my force would affect a masless object that doesn't interact with electromagnetism (a 3D force). I feel like the argument made for higher dimensional power is purely geometric and doesn't apply any physics (the foundatioms on which every other power on this site is based)
