From a quick view tanjiro can negate his regeneration but it mostly depends on what Kars does so I'll wait a bit

in verse you need a nichirin to negate demon regen, and the explanation given is that the ore they are made of can absorb sunlight, wich is the weakness of the demons.
Obviously, Ultimate kars would resist, but when a nichirin gets red they also heat up, and this heat can inflict cellular damage that never heals even on demons of Muzan's level of regen, and that's not counting Sun breathing style wich seems to have even stronger regen neg than regular red nichirin users, so if it works or not against someone with kars level regen + no weakness to sun is debatable.

He also has adaptation, such as coating himself in a lava proof shell or flight, and can... spawn murder squirrels from himself.
These things would make it very hard for tanjiro to kill him and would also give him protection against the heat/fire based dura neg
