Deidra can use huge aoe attacks which would eventually hit his clam. And with hozuki isn't shown to use lightning style to counter these attacks

Muu is used to fighting flying opponents like Muu his lifelong rival and Gaara and Ohnoki. Gengetsu takes it handily. If he could take on two Kage at once, one of whoms' weaker version nearly beat Deidara, Deidara has little to no chance here.

Sorry for the delayed response. Muu doesn't have anything against his large aoe attacks. Or even his cellular bombs

Deidara doesn't have anything against his potent genjutsu. And if he just uses bomb droppings all the time that might not destroy the clam, he would need a focused attack to. Ohnoki's stone fist jutsu didn't work, and he needed super weighted boulder jutsu. The reverse of this is something he used to stop a meteor and carry and island, so clearly it's a jutsu beyond just Deidara's basic bombs. Besides, Deidara won't know that he has to destroy a clam because Gengetsu isn't trying to be defeated here so he won't tell Deidara. Meanwhile, Gengetsu can invisibly snipe.
If he destroys the clam, then he has to deal with Joki Boi which he can't reliably do. That has also been shown catching a flying opponent (Gaara).
