"Death" vs Godly Regens

When is a character considered "Dead" if they have a godly regen? I'll use mid godly as an example. if their mind, body, soul is wiped out even though they could in theory still revive are they technically considered "dead" in that state where we "wait" for them to "regen?"

They technically aren't dead if they can regen from that. they could be alive in some sort of way like from a concept or something beyond soul or mind.
they depending on how fast is this regeneration they could be incapped
