DCAU - Superman Revisions

Thank you. Is there anything left to do here, or should we close this thread?

I'd like to keep this open so that getting input on the mega thread is easier.

See if John wants some more input before closing.
Okay.
Oh yeah Ant, I just wanted to ask something real quick. How do you decide which end of Calcs to use when given High, Mid, or Low-ends?
I don't decide that, our calc group members do. However, I suppose that they are evaluated on a case-by-case basis depending on which results that seem more warranted.

What do you want to be done more specifically?

The calc currently on Superman's profile is incorrect given what I mentioned. It will need to be reevaluated.

So I'm still working on the draft but there are issues with these calcs that need immediate attention.

The top one uses a comet from a later episode (Little Girl Lost Part 2) instead of the Promethians meteor.

Okay.

@Damage3245 @Spinosaurus75DinosaurFan @Armorchompy @Migue79

Would you be willing to re-evaluate these calculations please?

Preferably tell us here if you are willing to do so.

Oh yeah, I forgot there was a short discussion (but generally agreed upon) that Superman had SoL Heat Vision thanks to it reflecting off mirrors, being comparable to Green Lantern Rings, and all that.
Would that be a fine addition to add or should we discuss it?

It seems fine to me at least, but more input is obviously much preferable.

@Spinosaurus75DinosaurFan @Mr._Bambu @Therefir @DMUA @DemonGodMitchAubin @Jasonsith @Wokistan @Armorchompy

Would any of you be willing to handle this? Tell us here if you accept please.

In the meantime, can you specify what you think is wrong with the above-linked calculations, @JohnConquest1 ?

Okay. That seems to make sense, but since most of our calc group members very unfortunately seem to usually ignore my notification messages to them, I think that you may have to ask for input via our calculation evaluation requests thread instead.

You can link to both the two calculations and the following post in this thread there if you wish.

Has anybody here done this yet? You can mention that I sent you in conjunction if you wish.

Okay. No problem. There is no hurry.

See here:

Juggling other things. Don't really have the time to focus on it myself.

Can you explain exactly what needs to be done here in a sufficiently elaborate manner please?
I think for now, in this specific discussion, everything that needed to be discussed has been. JohnConquest was making a large, verse-oriented CRT to tackle all that needs to regarding the DCAU. I think this is free to be closed, if you'd want to.

Well, what has been accepted by our staff here should preferably be applied first. Has this been done already?

I don't have the time to focus on continuing the draft here due to other things that require my attention.
I'm asking that this thread not be closed and that if possible other users here can pick up from where I left it off.
The feats currently on the profiles are still just as fraudulent.

Okay. I would appreciate if other members here can help out with improving the reliability of our DCAU pages instead then.

Right, so I've been looking further into DCAU Superman, believing we haven't covered everything. I just-so happened to be right! I also want to talk about other things first, but I'll save that after I list the new additions.

On this thread (Part 2) and this thread (Part 1) I will be asking you to go to numerous timestamps.

(1:00 - 1:24, Part 2) Superman pushes what seems to be a piece of the moon. The size of it seems to eclipse any other lifting strength feat we have on the profile. If someone could calc this, we may be looking at a serious upgrade.

(1:34 - 1:38, Part 2) Possible Shockwave Manipulation? Superman's stomp rattles the entire building and throws his shooters off-balance. You even see a ripple effect in the ground.

(2:37 - 2:49, Part 2) An addition I actually wanted to add earlier, but Superman shows the ability to Thunderclap here. This is one of two times he ever does it, but he can do it.

(3:36 - 4:06, Part 2) Wind Manipulation. What I would actually consider one of Supes' signature moves, he spins like a tornado and creates an immense gust of wind.

(5:55 - 6:06, Part 2) I know we already have evidence for Fire Manipulation/Explosions, but I think this would be a much better feat to replace the one on the profile with.

(2:59 - 3:26, Part 1) I think this would be a solid speed upgrade for Superman. He's able to push a ship out of the gravitational pull of a Black Hole. With as much FTL statements and feats we have, I think it'd be harmless.

(7:23 - 7:40, Part 1) Alright. Here's where I want to talk about the elephant in the room. Why are we rating a blatant 4-C Feat as Moon Level? Superman out-right takes an explosion heavily damaged and was destroying the Sun. I get it if it's not rated as 4-C outright, but Moon level? The Sun is almost exactly 400x bigger, I don't think any amount of low-balling could put this feat anywhere near that low.

There's no such thing at this time frame. Superman intercepts bullets and saves Lois from a big robot.

????

How is taking a volcanic explosion moon level? Also even if this is what you're saying it is, that still wouldn't make Superman consistently Tier 4. He's been injured and knocked out by far worse stuff.

That feat, and that timeframe is in this one.
So escaping a Black Hole's pull doesn't require FTL speeds. You only need those speeds if you're beyond the event horizon, which Superman wasn't. In fact, FTL speeds are contradicted in this episode, because both Jax-Ur and Mala were sucked in the black hole can were unable to escape its pull, despite earlier giving Superman a rather difficult fight.

The Emerald Eye feat is the one already listed on his profile for 5-C durability. The eye was also pushing the sun apart with Green Lantern battery energy, which is how the problem was solved at the end, but just reversing the energy to pull the Sun rather than push it out. So I'm not sure if Superman can even scale to it fully in the first place.
