The movie adapted the comicbook story with some creative liberties, especially towards the end. If you want more detail about the changes from comicbook to live-action, I recommend watching this video.

Yeah the film is an adaptation of the book's plot with notable distinctions :V, it's not shown as a potential sequel to it or anything

There isn't much to prove to get a separate verse page lol, it used to be a separate continuity, and that is enough. It's a more visible way to represent supporters of a verse, subsection or not.

Wildstorm as a brand is, but the characters were not apart of the DCU until Flashpoint. Prior, they were apart of 'Earth 50' and prior to that, they weren't connected to DC at all. It's like how Fawcett is "canon" to DC, but we're gonna treat Fawcett as its own verse eventually.
Also @The_Impress Shouldn't Fox Comics be on the list too? We have a character from that as well.
