From how dialogue is, it implies that Garlic Jr would be easily be taken care of from Goku, and that he's actually weak.

They wouldn't say that if Goku would be forced to use Kaioken or similar tbh.

I agree it makes no sense for Krillin to be multitudes stronger than Frieza; literally when Mecha Frieza and King Cold arrive, which is after Garlic Jr saga, the cast was horrified by their arrival and afraid none of them stood a chance without Goku. Piccolo saying that Gohan could have beaten Garlic Jr on his own seems to have been proof Garlic Jr was weaker than Frieza. Wasn't until Future Trunks arrived.

And looking at the blog, I think it looks really well done.
