Since Masamune likes to be up in people's faces with his fancy six-sword style, I'd say Volnutt takes this while he has the Shining Laser equipped, since it shreds through Moon level characters in seconds.

Well to be fair Masamune has one-shot other Moon level characters easily while injured. Plus Masamune has a ton of powers he can use to counter Volnutt. Plus he isn't going to sit there and get hit. Plus he can do this https://youtu.be/-eYW_MV0wDg?t=67

Edit: Didn't read the bloodlusted portion.

Still, in Date's other bloodlusted moments, he doesn't immediately resort to this technique, as seen when he tag-teamed with Yukimura against Nobunaga.

True but would Volnutt immediately use that blast attack thingamajig? And if Masamune dodges it then he'd realize that Volnutt is a huge threat and would likely use JJB. Similar to what happened with Mitsunari. So bloodlusted Masamune is very unpredictable as there is a chance he would use JJB.

Sorry, just got back from making 200 pancakes (college stuff).

But ultimately, those attacks require significant set up time. Volnutt's Shining Laser has infinite ammo, no start up time, and automatically tracks the target.

A whole 200? Good lord.

Anyway. Masamune also has projectile attacks on his own as well such as his kameham-I mean giant Lightning Ball. And apparently he can fly as well....(Just finished Last Party. I need to add that.) Plus while that laser is indeed powerful. Masamune has been known for taking damage from much stronger Moon level characters and still fighting. Such as Nobunaga, Yoshiteru and That Psychic dude(Don't remember his name.)

Also I did a little extra research into Masamune to find out like EVERY single Sengoku Basara character has at least limited Time Manipulation. i.e they can slow down time for a few seconds.

Dunno how useful it would be for this fight tho.
