I was surprised to see that none of the Spirit have SS despite having shown this, so here we are. Hopefully even with the lack of active supporters this thread won't be dead immediately.
During her date with Shido, Ren talks about how spirit kind like her doesn't actually need to eat to survive. Simply put, they are unable to die from starvation (Ren Dystopia, Ren Route).
Spirits can also survive without oxygen, as seen in the Season IV of the anime where they can fight in outer space. Mukuro has been shown to stay at the vacuum of space for a long time before the series even takes place.
And lastly, Spirit won't die from lack of sleep. Reine hasn't slept for the last 30 years, yet she is still healthy and fine.
TL;DR, Spirits doesn't need to breathe, eat, or sleep to continue living. In addition, they can also survive from cosmic radiation.

Naturally, the diverse species on Earth could not survive here. Not only did the absence of essential oxygen prevent biological processes from occurring, but the cosmic rays, which were normally blocked by the atmosphere, would cause detrimental effects on any living organisms. Unlike a fantastical landscape, this was a desolate world devoid of any life. Despite these unfavorable odds, Shidou, without the assistance of a spacesuit or anything to preserve his lifeline, floated to the center of attention. Although that may be so, it was a matter of course. Shidou did not enter the cosmos for mere sightseeing or swimming. He was there to unlock the sealed heart of the lonely girl who had fell into an eternal slumber within that barren, empty space. “—Mukuro.” Shidou calmly called out that name.

From that, Reine felt a mysterious feeling. How to explain it? Her mind began to blur as it became more difficult to move her limbs. But it was definitely not a bad feeling. It was so comfortable being embraced by that warm hand that her consciousness gradually began to dissolve. “……Hmm……” As she noticed it was the first time in thirty years that she began to doze off, Reine’s consciousness sank into the darkness.
