So Danny has for more win conditions here, and can easily avoid any of Shigaraki's condition. Ghostly Wail just one shots him, that attack is over 2X stronger than an attack that'd almost killed him. And left a Near High-End Nomu, who is comparable to Shigaraki, almost dead. So yeah one Ghostly Wail and this fight is over at any point.

Regeneration Negation as well, up to High-Mid.

Also curious about how possession would work, don't know if he'd have to fight the "spirits" inside of Shigaraki or not. Is it alright for me to say that Mid-High regen isn't combat applicable, because even decay wouldn't be able to destroy that. Not that I see him touching Danny in the first place.

I know Danny doesn't spam his Ghostly Wail or anything, but he'll use it after realizing that trying to take down Shigaraki the normal way would seem impossible. And I personally don't see Shigaraki taking him out before Danny decides to use his strongest attack. Since intangibility and invisibility at will can be very helpful to avoid attacks.

He also has Island level force fields, he has a lot of ways to keep Shigaraki from him.

Not voting, since I assume I'm making some assumptions here that aren't true.

You are mostly correct on some of these. I'll elaborate on my thoughts of the characters main advantages..

Shigaraki's Advantages

I'm not to knowledgeable on MHA all to well but going off his profile. He holds the Statistics Advantage here (discounting speed but that's equalized), and he has quirks to amp his strength and reflect impact so with this, he can counter Danny's stat amp. His durability and regeneration (Mid) will allow him to survive anything Danny can grow at him with the exception of the Ghostly Wail.

His stamina is much greater than Danny's which means he could outlast him. He also possess incredible Supernatural Willpower and Resistance to Mind Manipulation, and with sufficient willpower/mind resistance one can keep Danny Phantom ghosts from taking possession over them and I do believe Shigaraki has that needed level of willpower so all Danny would be doing is phasing into Shigaraki's body and nothing more, as Danny doesn't utilize the molecular portion of his Possession like other ghosts nor does he tare the spirit out of people like Poindexter (these would be completely out of character so Possession isn't helpful here.

Mid-High Regeneration for Danny Phantom is combat usable, however this requires stamina to do so so if Shigaraki does touch Danny and decay him, Danny will regenerate but he'll use up energy to do so, which means repeated use of his regeneration will result in him returning to his human form and thus makes him vulnerable. Decay can also be used to free himself from Danny's ice so he's covered there.

Danny's Advantages

Danny's reactive power level, ghost energy amp and rage power will allow him to not fall completely to Tomura's raw power but he'll be at a disadvantage. However, as you pointed out, invisibility and invinsibility are at will, plus his shields scale far above Shigaraki's AP and also have reflective properties so he can reflect the force of Shigaraki's blows back at him.

Danny's regeneration (Mid-High) will keep him alive from whatever Shigaraki can do (so long as he doesn't run out of energy). Apply this with body control, selective intangibility, and invisibility makes Danny hard to hit and kill. Ghostly Wail is his sure fire win. As you pointed out though Danny doesn't use Ghostly Wail too often, only when he's up against someone far stronger or a large number of enemies. So he'll need to realize he can't defeat Tomura before using it.

The two have more than I mention but I'm just giving some general info.

Okay I had a feeling I was having a wrong train of thought.

Search is a visual Quirk that Shigaraki has, where his information analysis comes from. Once he sees someone, Search will tells him lots of things about his opponents, including location and weaknesses. While I'm certain it won't tell him how much stamina Danny has or something. He'll know that stamina could be an issue for him if he runs out.

But most importantly, it'll tell him about the Ghostly Wail. Which means he'd be aware that Danny has the raw power to one shot him if pushed too far. Also with Search, he'll always know Danny's location so invisibility won't help as much. Since he'd still be able to track him despite not being able to see him.

Obviously knowing everything about someone is NLF, since it clearly doesn't. However he should get a basic run down of his abilities.

Also Tomura has a Quirk called Reflect, which he uses to reflect lasers. Aren't Ghost Rays like lasers, and bounce off mirrors? So he should be able to reflect those type of attacks back at Danny as well. Shigaraki's Air Cannon + Heavy Payload can cover a massive amount of area, so full body intangibility is a must in order to avoid it.

This fight is closer than I thought, but I'm having trouble seeing Shigaraki taking out Danny before he decides to use his Ghostly Wail. If he does end up touching him with Decay, seems like he'd regenerate but waste a lot of energy. But that's only if he can physically touch him, which will be hard.

I won't vote yet, need to think this through more.

Yes, Danny's ghost rays are basically lasers. So reflect should work.
Shigaraki's Air Cannon + Heavy Payload can cover a massive amount of area, so full body intangibility is a must in order to avoid it.
Danny uses full bodied intangibility most of the time. He only does selective parts of his body when doing small things like phasing his hand into his locker or when removing something from inside of him.

Since I actually want this fight to continue I'll do a more in depth analysis on the characters using the information given on there profiles (mainly for Shigaraki since I'm not to knowledgeable on MHA). Hopefully this will help people decide on who they think takes it or if it's inconclusive. If you want my thoughts just click the SPOILER tag for my battle analysis.

Physical Prowess

Shigaraki

As I pointed out in the OP and in my previous comment, Shigaraki holds a decent advantage in terms of physical power, as well as durability and lifting strength. This means he'll be able to out muscle Danny and take his hits without to much issue. Shigaraki can further his strength advantage with his various Quirks such as Springlike Limbs, Hypertrophy, Kinetic Booster, Strength Enhancer, and Heavy Payload. Finally, if it's noticeable, he could get stronger through his rage since I see he has Rage Power on his profile as well.

Danny

Now despite Shigaraki advantage and buffs, I don't think he'll overwhelm Danny completely in terms of raw power. Yes, Shigaraki starts out stronger but Danny has a noticeable Accelerated Development/Reactive Evolution that has allowed him to close the gap on people stronger than him, and he has the ability to amp himself with his ectoplasmic energy which has allowed him to overpower and even tare through people comparable to himself. Finally, Danny has his own Rage Power which has shown to boost him greatly.

Important Note: Danny's Ghostly Wail far exceeds Shigaraki's level of strength and his ectoplasmic forcefields do so as well so Danny can out power Shigaraki and tank his attacks without question using these methods but these aren't counting towards Danny's standard physicals as they are abilities.

Stamina/Endurance

Shigaraki

Shigaraki definitely holds the stamina/endurance advantage. Going off his profile it states he can fight for 48 hours without any rest. It also says Super Regeneration allows him to recover his stamina, and he could keep going after having his skin burned off and a damaged head. It even says he recovered from biological death.

Danny

However like before I cannot discredit Danny's stamina/endurance. He has been stated capable of chasing and fight ghosts for entire nights without rest. He was even shown capable of holding his invisibility for hours while spreading it over the Fenton Jet. In terms of punishment he's capable of being electrocuted non stop while being forcible possessed and still kept himself from transforming. Plus, he could hold off Poindexter's possession even after Poindexter literally broke his neck which should have killed him but Danny fought on.

Range

Shigaraki

His Decay, and Air Cannon + Heavy Payload reach Kilometres to Tens of Kilometres. These reach much further than any of Danny's abilities.

Danny

While he falls behind, his overall ranged abilities such as Ghost Rays, Ice Rays, and Ghostly Wail can all reach Hundreds of Meters without issue.

Intelligence/Experience

Shigaraki

Shigaraki is older and more capable in terms of overall intelligence. He's shown to be analytical and takes advantage of his opponents weaknesses. His hand to hand combat skills are also a cut above the normal and this version of him has the knowledge, experience, intelligence, and cunning of All for One.

Danny

Danny's young age causes him many problems in combat. He's exceptionally overconfident at times and has admitted he doesn't always pay attention which has allowed others to get the jump on him. Now this isn't to say his stupid, far from it, as when it comes down to it, he's battled and even outsmarted characters who are far older than even All for One and some who possess Genius to even Extraordinary Genius intelligence. He's shown capable of effectively using his powers in combat in different ways and is capable of using his parents gadgets, weapons, and vehicles without issue.

Abilities

Shigaraki

Decay is something that would completely ignore Danny's durability and it's wide area of effect makes it dangerous. All for One comes with it's handful of Quirks, such as the ones I mentioned above regarding buffs to his physical prowess. With "Search", he'll always know Danny's location which effectively makes any sneak attacks useless, and it can give him information on the target so he'll likely gain the basic run down of standard ghost abilities.

"Air Walk" and "Wing" will allow him to stay with Danny if he attempts to fly which is more than likely. Quirks such as "Impact", "Reflect", and "Scatter" will allow him to repel Danny's physical attacks and standard energy attacks to avoid being hit altogether. "Multiplier" can give him extra limbs which can help him in physical combat. He can also create electricity explosions.

His Super Regeneration (Mid) allows him to recover from almost anything Danny could do to him. Finally his level of Supernatural Willpower and Resistance to Mind Manipulation should allow him to resist the mental portion of Danny's possession and as I've already stated, Danny doesn't use the biological/spiritual applications of his possession like some other ghosts.

Danny

Ghost Physiology gives Danny a decent number of abilities. Given ectoplasmic energy can effect the body on a molecular level, things like the Ghost Ray can cause serious pain. He also possess many ways to avoid being hit physically thanks to his body control, intangibility, and forcefields, the later of which has extremely high durability and can reflect the force of physical attacks as well energy attacks.

His ghost regeneration will allow him to recover from pretty much anything Shigaraki can do to him but it should be noted that a ghost needs to consciously pull themselves back together. For example, when Danny was turned into jelly and splattered, it took him almost half a minute to reform himself and you could visibly see to him need to shack the case away. This means it requires effort to keep doing this.

Duplication can allow Danny to hold a numbers advantage but the duplicates are exactly as strong as the original but still can use his abilities so they will be a good diversion. His ice powers can be an effective way of taking Shigaraki down since the temperature is so could it can make you brittle in seconds. However his greatest ability is the Ghostly Wail which is a massive sound wave that not only is extremely powerful but can tare others apart and negates regeneration higher than Shigaraki has.

Overview

In the end, the two have ways to avoid and or counter the majority of the others abilities which leaves them with specific win methods.

For Shigaraki to take the win, he's going to need to fight smart and attempt to exhausted Danny's stamina by playing on his overconfidence and pressuring him to use his abilities non stop.

For Danny to take the win, he'll need to realize soon that he can't take down Shigaraki through normal means and get serious enough to use a powerful Ghostly Wail.

Hope this helps you decide who takes it or if it's inconclusive. I still couldn't go over everything since this is suppose to be short.

I think I'll go Incon for now.

Both have solid wincons on each other, but it just depends on which individual would utilize their wincons first and do it more efficiently.

I forgot about this match up.

Honestly after looking over everything again, I'm going to give this to Danny. Think he has a slight edge over Shigaraki, enough that he should be able to get off his Ghostly Wail. I see him getting off that attack as being more likely than Shigaraki taking him down. So I'm voting Danny as well.

The ghostly wail does feel a tad bit unfair, given that he can just end the fight at any point he feels like

What does it do?
It's a powerful sonic scream that has a wide area of effect and far exceeds his own power. Downside is it takes a massive amount of energy so he has about 2 uses of it before he turns back into his human form.

It’s a 6-C attack he can throw out at any time
While he can use it at any time, he doesn't use it right off the bat.

Might be a dumb question, but Danny is tangible right?
Ghosts in Danny Phantom are intangible by default however, they make solid bodies for themselves in order to interact with the physical world otherwise they would be phasing through everything. So majority of the time (in the human world) they stay tangible in order to fight and utilize the power to turn that intangible. (They have multiple intangibilities)

You can check out the Ghost Physiology (Danny Phantom) page for a more in depth explanation. But the main point is, Danny's going to remain tangible unless he activates his intangibility power. As he has no reason to enter the default intangibility a ghost has because that point, neither could hit the other.

I think call more MHA supporters since I don't think anyone here is that familiar with Shigaraki
Bruh, first comment literally come from TheRustyOne along with other comments from him, don't know you but I think he is a big MHA supporter and know enough about Shigaraki argue for him, of course that more MHA supporters could come and give their input but isn't like no one defended him.

I think I’m going to vote for Danny. Though both characters have viable wincons, such as Tomura’s numerous Quirks and greater AP, I believe that Danny’s intangibility, superior regeneration and his Ghostly Wail would allow Danny to take the win after a long fight.
